What can you do with an Advertising major?

i am a junior in high school and i’ve been going crazy trying to figure out what i might want to major in in college. i somehow got the idea that a career in advertising might be a good fit for me. but, i don’t know what exactly a person can do with a degree in advertising, or how the pay would be after college (you have to think about these things these days). also, what kind of places would employ someone with an advertising degree.
